New Holland
IntelliSense Sprayer Automation is available for Guardian series front boom sprayers: The SP310F, SP370F, and SP410F. The system uses a single cab-mounted, factory-fit SenseApply Camera unit. The SenseApply camera unit is a forward-looking, multi-spectral vision system that enables IntelliSense Sprayer Automation to continuously scan upcoming field conditions (50 feet out in front of the sprayer) across the full width of the boom from a high vantage point atop the cab.
An aspect of the IntelliSense Sprayer Automation is its Selective Spray function. It offers operators the choice of two application types to enhance herbicide applications: Spot Spraying and Base + Boost. Spot Spraying utilizes green-on-brown functionality and operates by detecting weeds smaller in stature (less than two inches in height) and activates nozzles on the boom that correspond to the location of the detected weed. Where an operator is applying a broadcast herbicide over a field, Base + Boost mode applies a uniform base rate across the entire coverage width and activates a localized boost rate from nozzles where weeds are detected.

Combo-Jet DX Series Spot-Spraying Nozzles
“In today’s ag economy, success is defined by efficiency, adaptability, and the ability to deliver value across every acre,” says Kevin “K.J.” Johnson, President of the Illinois Fertilizer & Chemical Association (IFCA). “MAGIE brings together the latest in application equipment, precision technology, and supplier expertise, giving retailers practical ways to enhance performance and better serve their grower-customers.”
A walk through this year’s exhibits reveals several common themes shaping equipment development.
One is versatility. Manufacturers are designing machines that can perform multiple jobs throughout the season, helping retailers maximize equipment utilization. From combination field loaders that easily transition between fertilizer and lime to interchangeable spreader systems and multi-purpose tenders, flexibility continues to be a priority as operations look to improve return on investment.
Automation and precision remain equally prominent. Smart sprayer technologies featuring selective spraying, camera-guided weed detection, pulse-width modulation, automated section control, radar-based spread pattern adjustments, and real-time weighing systems are becoming increasingly common. These technologies are designed to reduce overlap, improve application accuracy, minimize waste, and help operators make better decisions in the field.
Efficiency also extends beyond application equipment. Bulk storage systems, tank liners, containment solutions, automated loadout skids, liquid blending systems, conveyors, and fertilizer tenders demonstrate the industry’s continued investment in improving throughput while reducing labor requirements and downtime. Stainless steel construction, corrosion resistance, simplified maintenance, and operator safety features appear throughout many of this year’s product introductions.
Nutrient management continues to evolve as well. New nitrogen stabilizers, precision application technologies, and equipment capable of handling multiple products reflect retailers’ growing focus on maximizing nutrient efficiency while meeting customer expectations for stewardship and performance.
Perhaps what makes MAGIE unique is the ability to move beyond product literature.
“The show’s signature ride-and-drive experience continues to set MAGIE apart,” Johnson says. “Attendees can get behind the wheel, evaluate equipment firsthand, and gain confidence in the tools they rely on every day.”
The products featured in the accompanying slideshow represent only a sampling of the innovations attendees will find on the show floor. Be sure to click through the slideshow above to explore more of the latest equipment and technologies that will be on display at MAGIE 2026.
